Cobian and Movember Team Up

Print Friendly and PDF

As part of the 2017 Movember Campaign, Cobian has partnered with the Movember Foundation to use footwear as a means to change lives and encourage men to get talking about their health. The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health, with the annual Movember campaign being globally recognized for its fun, disruptive approach to fundraising and getting men to take action for their health.

Men are dying too young, before their time and for no biological reason. In an effort to change this, the Movember Foundation has started a movement that is empowering men and women to raise millions and fund health projects, specifically addressing prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

To support their cause, Cobian Footwear has released a limited edition Movember Sandal that not only features the brand’s signature comfort and the charity’s iconic mustache, but 50 percent of online sandal sales will go directly back to the Movember Foundation.

“We want the sandals to be a daily reminder for men to know that their health is worth talking about and spread the word to others,” said Cobian’s Marketing Director, Chris Peck.

Following their motto of “Every Step Matters,” Cobian has made it their mission to use their platform as a brand to give back and support causes that are making a difference. Cobian Ambassador and Surf Team Rider, Nate Yeomans, has become a face for their campaign to support men’s health after losing his grandfather to prostate cancer.

“I believe his life could have been saved,” says Yeomans, a pro surfer, “but thanks to the efforts of Movember, we can help prevent others from dying too young.”

Cobian is proud to partner with the Movember Foundation this November to promote men’s health and is committed to supporting the organization’s cause of raising awareness to help stop men from dying too young.

“Through purchasing the Movember Sandal, you not only financially contribute directly to the foundation, but raise awareness for this issue,” added Peck. “You can be the difference in a man’s life.”

Based on the rate of their current efforts to raise awareness, by 2030 Movember will have reduced the number of men dying prematurely by 25 percent.
