Ryan Sheckler Featured in New Oakley One Obsession #CantStop Campaign

The latest iteration of the Oakley's One Obsession #CantStop Campaign, features Professional Skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler. The new Oakley film highlights the noise, fears, struggles and determination that Sheckler has worked through to remain one of the world’s top skateboarders. 

Since Sheckler was 13 he has been in the spotlight, winning X-Games gold, becoming an international skating superstar and starring in his own MTV reality show. With great hype and fame comes great responsibility. A lesson Sheckler has learned the hard way. To remain at the top of his craft, he has to weed out all the bad eggs and avoid the temptations in his life that may have haunted him in the past.

Directed by David Terry Fine, the Oakley film was shot over two days in Sheckler’s hometown of San Clemente, California, featuring behind-the-scenes access of his home, neighborhood and private skate park where he’s constantly hosting community events to give back to young aspiring athletes. Incorporating never-before-seen footage of Sheckler, his grandmother and parents, the film features intimate shots and archival moments that have helped pave Sheckler’s journey to where he is now. The film features ‘War It’ by Forest Swords to compliment the incredible library of images and content the team sourced and shot.

Throughout the film, Sheckler is featured wearing Oakley’s new accessories and apparel collection inspired by the iconic Oakley Frogskins. He is also featured rocking the all-new Frogskins Lite Eyewear – a style influenced by sport and pop-culture, featuring a classic semi-rimless frame design and equipped with Oakley’s leading performance technology.

The One Obsession #CantStop campaign embraces athletes, professional or amateur, that approach sport as an obsession to wear proudly, 24/7. Ryan Sheckler is the latest in a line of world class talent to show their obsession, following Bubba Watson, PGA golfer and two-time Masters Champion; Julian Wilson, Pro-Surfer; Mark Cavendish, Pro-Cyclist; Valentino Rossi, MotoGP Legend; Maverick Viñales, MotoGP Rookie; Chas Christiansen, Urban Cyclist and more.
