KnowShow kicked off Wednesday at the Vancouver Convention Center. All the major action sports and lifestyle brands were on the floor and there seemed to be a lot of meetings going on all day, especially in the afternoon as the show picked up.

For many Canadian retailers, especially those that live in more remote areas, this is their most important show of the season.

"You have to take two ferries to get my shop," said Ron Armitage who owns a men's clothing retailer called Armitage in Powell River, British Colombia. "Coming to the show I find all the cool brands. People who come to my shop are just amazed at what they can find."

We will have more stories from the show throughout the next week.
