Steve Murray named CEO of Dr. Martens

Footwear company Dr. Martens has named former Vans President and VF Action Sports executive Steve Murray as its CEO, starting in October.
Most recently, Steve was the President of EMEA for Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which he joined in 2011 after spending a year at Urban Outfitters as Global Brand President.
Steve is now based in England, however his name still comes up a lot around Vans headquarters.
The CEO change at Dr. Martens comes as the brand has a new owner, Permira Funds, which acquired the brand’s parent company for approximately £300 million earlier this year.
