His career at Quiksilver has encompassed many positions including team rider as a young surfer, working in the entertainment group with Danny Kwock and on business development with former President Bernard Mariette.

He also ran Latin America, and then became Chief Operating Officer and then President of the Americas.

Most recently, he has managed relationships with top core accounts and led the Waterman’s division.

I was always amazed at how Rob handled not only the good times at Quiksilver, but the more recent challenging times as well. He managed to stay positive while seeing many of his good friends and members of the Quiksilver family depart during multiple restructurings over the past few years.

Retailers love Rob, and have often raved to me about his authenticity, intelligence and strong work ethic.

From what I understand, Rob will stay on for a few weeks to finish up a few key projects.
