LAMO Creates Positive Change Nationwide
LAMO, authentic sheepskin footwear brand has introduced a lot of positive changes in the past few months that customers will soon benefit from. From a brand-new cool weather collection to taking part in a national movement, LAMO is making waves in the footwear industry.
Born on the coast of Southern California, LAMO is working to provide footwear for almost every California adventure. From classic sheepskin styles and moccasins, to house shoes and casual footwear, LAMO promises that every step taken will be done in California Comfort™.
LAMO’s Fall/Winter 2020 Collection just dropped, what should our readers keep an eye out for?
Mark Sweetser: As a historically premium sheepskin brand, this collection showcases styles that were designed for an active-casual lifestyle. Essentially that means we invested in new materials, fabrics and technology that enhance outdoor adventures.
Jerry Breig: Exactly, comfort has always been a top priority for LAMO. Being able to utilize our Cirrus Memory Foam footbeds and Splash Secure water-resistant coating, with new materials like our Lightweight LAMO EVA Outsole has been a game changer this season.
LAMO recently revamped its return policy, can you tell us what that means for potential customers?
Mark Sweetser: Our brand new 30-Day Comfort Guarantee gives our customers 30 days to fall in love with their new product. Because we have so many new styles being release in the next few months, we wanted to ensure that even our loyal LAMO customers had the opportunity to try something new.
Jerry Breig: Because we exist online and in over 4,000 retail locations nationwide, we knew it was important to extend this offer to our consumers on www.lamofootwear.com and in our retail locations. We are test driving this new policy with two new sneaker styles for men and women, but plan to extend the offer to include our upcoming Baja Collection in 2021.
Why did LAMO choose to join the Stop Hate for Profit Movement?
Mark Sweetser: From a marketing standpoint, it was a no brainer. LAMO does not support hate, bigotry, racism, antisemitism, and disinformation, and we felt that joining the Stop Hate for Profit movement was the best first step. We plan to invest our time and resources into other platforms until comprehensive changes are made by Facebook.
We heard that LAMO is approaching a milestone this year, are you doing anything to celebrate the occasion?
Mark Sweetser: We’ve taken a different approach to celebrating our 25thanniversary. With the pandemic and all of the social unrest, we have decided to use our social channels to highlight LAMO heroes, or loyal LAMO customers who have been actively doing good in their own communities across the country.
Jerry Breig: Our customers have stuck with us for 25 years and even more so over the past few months. We felt that it is important to support them just as much as they have supported LAMO. Be sure to keep an eye out for their videos over the next month!
We’ve seen LAMO has also joined in to assist those on the frontlines of the global pandemic. Can you elaborate on how LAMO has helped nurses?
Mark Sweetser: LAMO was able to donate 1,000 pairs of slippers to nurses all over the country. We wanted to be able to give back to the community in a way that would benefit the recipient in the best way we knew how, through comfort.
Jerry Breig: We felt that being able to come home to a cozy pair of slippers after a long shift, could be a bright spot in an otherwise difficult day.
