Surfline Hires Marketing Executive from Apple
Surfline\Wavetrak Inc., the company behind ocean forecasting powerhouse Surfline, announced today the appointment of Kim Centeno head of marketing. Centeno joins Surfline from Apple, where she most recently led marketing for high profile subscription services, including Apple Arcade. She will oversee end-to-end marketing, including brand, product marketing, acquisition marketing, as well as customer service. The appointment follows Surfline’s announcement last month that it had closed a $30 million investment from TCG and named Kyle Laughlin as CEO.

Previously with Apple, Centeno led consumer and developer marketing for the App Store, where she worked directly with many of today’s top mobile developers, helping define best practices for the app ecosystem. Prior to Apple, Kim held leadership positions at several top consumer technology companies, including Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and eBay.

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Centeno is an avid surfer who now resides in San Diego. In her free time, she can be found in the water, up and down the Southern California coastline.
