Vans and Dime Celebrate 30 Years of the Half Cab With the Skate Half Cab ‘92
Vans Skateboarding has joined forces once more with Dime on a fresh design of the Skate Half Cab™ ‘92. Drawing influence from all aspects of creative exploration and DIY culture, Vans Skate Half Cab 92 represents skateboarding’s past, present, and future. Adding its signature touch, Dime’s iteration of the shoe lets the iconic silhouette do the heavy lifting.
Sitting comfortably at the intersection of fashion and skateboarding, Dime takes cues from an oxford tan palette for this latest collaboration, with tonal stitching and branding across the tongue, quarter panel and eyelet hangtag. The colorway lives across a luxe suede upper, which features Dime and Half Cab logos debossed across the heel counter and quarter panel. The style is finished with a warped Dime print on the footbed and a clear, statement-making outsole with Dime printed beneath the surface.
Dime started as a small crew of skate kids filming clips in their hometown of Montreal, Canada, and quickly grew into one of skateboarding’s most influential brands. Known to put humor first, Dime’s skate videos have a nostalgic ‘90s aesthetic that win the hearts of skateboarders globally. The Vans Skate Half Cab ‘92 by Dime will be available exclusively through Dime beginning September 17, 2022, and available globally through select Vans retail locations and at vans.com/HalfCab beginning September 22, 2022.
