What’s Going on with Martha
Martha is pleased to announce its successful launch in the US, the introduction of its new sales manager, and its expansion plans to Europe for 2024. With new categories and collection lines, the brand is pioneering a retail renaissance, breathing new life into local shops and harking back to the roots of the retail experience.
With a foundation in the principles of community and authenticity, Martha strives to uplift in-store shopping experiences, consequently benefiting local retailers. Staying true to their pledge, they have consciously forgone e-commerce, choosing to exclusively offer their products in-store.
This straightforward retail strategy provided the brand with enough traction to establish itself in the market. Since its test collection launch in July 2022, Martha has made significant strides in the retail landscape. Today, their innovative and quality products grace the shelves of numerous renowned surf shops, including Hansen Surfboards in Encinitas, Prooflab in Norcal, CC Surf in San Luis Obispo, Panchos Surf Shop in Pismo Beach, Wavelengths in Morro Bay, Atlantic Shoals in the Mid-Atlantic, Kokomo and La Gran Via in Puerto Rico, Surf Culture in Florida, and Ziki Outdoors in Cañon City, to name a few.
Martha’s sales force is already on the ground, with sales reps operating in Norcal, Central California, SoCal, the Rockies, Puerto Rico, Texas, the Mid-Atlantic, and Florida. Their goal is to ensure Martha’s high-quality and sustainable products reach every corner of the country.
The addition of Martin Sundblad, former executive at Reef and Fallen, as the new Sales and Marketing Manager marks another exciting development. Sundblad will drive Martha’s vision of reinvigorating the brick-and-mortar retail industry while maintaining its dedication to environmental sustainability. Primarily, he’ll be focusing on fostering growth through independent retailers, specialty stores, and department store partnerships.
In addition, Martha is excited to present its latest product line – a meticulously designed backpack collection that embodies the brand’s spirit of innovation, quality, and sustainability. This new line further solidifies Martha’s commitment to offer premium and recycled exclusive products that can only be experienced in-store.
“Martha is more than just a brand; it’s a movement to bring back the joy and authenticity of the brick-and-mortar shopping experience. We are profoundly inspired to see surfers, skaters, and outdoor enthusiasts once again raising their voices, advocating for a return to a more tranquil and simplified lifestyle, and pioneering, once again, society trends,” said Pedro Roisman, the founder. “As well, we are incredibly proud of our initial sprint in the market, and we are looking forward to what the future holds as we continue to support local shops and create unique, quality products.”
In an exciting development, Martha is extending its reach beyond national borders, setting sights on a European launch. Customers in Europe can look forward to a prebook for the summer of 2024, featuring Martha’s distinctively designed headwear and backpacks. These products, embodying Martha’s ethos of quality and sustainability, will soon be available for pre-order, solidifying Martha’s commitment to expanding its sustainable retail movement globally.
Martha invites everyone to join them on this exciting journey as they continue to carve a niche in the retail industry, steadfast in their mission to bring shopping back to its roots.
