Quiksilver Global GM Brad Blankinship Resigns from Boardriders
Quiksilver Global GM Brad Blankinship has resigned his position and will exit Boardriders next Friday, SES has learned.
The exit comes as the company is weeks away from closing its sale to licensing company Authentic Brands Group.
Blankinship assumed the global Quiksilver leadership role in fall of 2021 after leading RVCA for two years. He also ran RVCA from 2006 to 2010.
In between, he founded two companies that were eventually acquired, and had a brand and product leadership role at Igloo.
During his time at Quiksilver, the brand signed surfer Griffin Colapinto and also released the new “Repeater” movie, which Blankinship executive produced along with surfer Mikey Wright.
We reached out to Blankinship for a comment, and he sent this statement:
“I am extremely proud of the work the team has done at Quiksilver. It has been a privilege to be part of such an iconic brand. I wish nothing but success for the brand and the amazing people connected to Quiksilver in the future.”
Blankinship is the only brand global general manager that has left Boardriders during an extended sale process that has caused uncertainty and challenges at the company.
