O’Neill is proud to partner with Hawaiian Island Creations, Inc. (“HIC”) on a flagship store on Kalākaua Ave, the main street for tourism and locals alike, in Honolulu, HI. This store will help O’Neill and HIC provide a global community of travelers, surfers, and adventurers with clothing and accessories to inspire the surfers spirit in us all. This store accompanies eleven other HIC store locations on Oahu, and more across Maui and the Big Island.

The space offers an elevated shopping experience with imagery paying homage to O’Neill ‘s history; founder Jack O’Neill, longtime O’Neill team rider Jordy Smith, and local Hawaiian althetes, Honolua Blomdfield (3X World Champ), Sophia Culhane, and Brittany Penaroza.

ABOUT HIC: 

In 1971, Stephen and Jimmy Tsukayama, opened a small surf shop on Uluniu Street in Kailua Town on Oahu’s Windward coast – and Hawaiian Island Creations was born. Fifty years and thousands of surfboards later, the company has grown to include 16 stores across Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island; providing authentic Hawaiian surf gear to both locals and visitors alike.

ABOUT O’NEILL: 

O’Neill is the original American surf brand. Jack O’Neill opened the world’s first surf shop in 1952 out of a garage off the Great Highway, San Francisco. He started out shaping boards and selling wax, eventually experimenting with insulated surf vests to extend sessions in the frigid waters of Northern California. This thought process lead to the creation of the neoprene wetsuit, an invention of Jack’s that changed the surf world forever. The shop later moved to Santa Cruz and went full force into the wetsuit business. That same progressive spirit still drives the company forward today.
