Vans Skateboarding and Spitfire Wheels Release New Collection
Vans Skateboarding and Spitfire Wheels, two brands firmly rooted in authentic skateboarding culture, have revealed a collection of tough-yet-versatile footwear and apparel for any and all skate adventures with your crew.
Running it back for the first time since a collaboration in 2017, Vans Skateboarding and Spitfire Wheels have centered their latest effort around three collaborative footwear styles. The Rowan 2 in “Black/Flame” is a direct salute to Vans Skateboarding and Spitfire Wheels team rider Rowan Zorilla — one of the many skaters representing both brands — and it’s also accompanied by similar “Black/Flame” takes on a duo of classics, namely the Skate SK8 Hi Reissue and the Skate Old Skool. The Rowan 2 combines its court shoe-inspired look with high-grade performance thanks to ImpactWaffle™ cushioning that’s pulled further into its forefoot to sustain impact protection without sacrificing board feel. At the same time, the Skate SK8 Hi Reissue and the Skate Old Skool make use of PopCush™ cushioning for maximum energy return. All three pairs also feature both Duracap™ and SickStick™ rubbers for optimal durability and grip, plus a water-resistant treatment and tough, outdoors-inspired builds with materials like ripstop, ballistic nylon, and metal hardware.
An extensive set of genderless apparel for skaters from all walks of life is also available to complete the offering. Think hardy skate classics like hoodies and short-sleeve button-ups, all with co-branded detailing and a signature packable vest made of solid-dyed ripstop with 210 poly lining. A hat and a tote bag complete the offering.
