La Jolla Group Bolsters Team with 2 C-Suite Hires
The La Jolla Group made two new appointments to its C-suite this week amid the multi-brand portfolio operator’s continued growth.
Jeremy Hale, former president of outdoor brand Mountain Khakis, was named chief commercial officer this month at the company, which has the license for O’Neill Clothing and Hang Ten. La Jolla also provides some back-end services to companies such as Sol Los Angeles and Hale’s previous firm in Mountain Khakis.
“I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the incredible team at La Jolla Group over the past almost two years since Mountain Khakis joined as a partner brand within LJG’s Platform as a Service,” Hale said in a statement sent to SES. “LJG has an exceptionally well curated portfolio of brands, and I am thrilled to collaborate with this talented team in my new role. Together, we’re gearing up to seize the exciting opportunities awaiting us in the action sports, outdoor and lifestyle markets.”
Hale is credited with steering the Mountain Khakis business during a turnaround. The company underwent a number of major changes during that time including its supply chain being reworked, merchandising and design restructures, redesigned fits and the move of e-commerce and digital marketing into the company.
Before Mountain Khakis, Hale serve as vice president of international development at Billabong, general manager of international at Fox Head, general manager of South Asia at Quiksilver Inc. and Asia-Pacific sales director at DC Shoes.
Product Leadership Under Dinah Ryan
Hale’s appointment also came with news that Dinah Ryan was named chief product officer at La Jolla.
Ryan previously served as general manager of emerging brands, a position she’s had since 2022.
The executive, a veteran of the apparel industry, has also served in various roles at Unionbay, most recently as a vice president of merchandising, design and sales for the young men’s, Union and Howe men’s divisions; a divisional product line manager for men’s and performance sportswear at Eddie Bauer; and several roles at Nordstrom.
“We have a diverse portfolio of brands that have a story to tell,” Ryan said in a LinkedIn post this week to announce her new position. “I’m very excited to help write that next chapter and still be curious, learn and build with some pretty amazing people.”
Ryan and Hale report to La Jolla Group CEO Michael Pratt.
