Opus Footwear to Sponsor Taylor Clark Comedy Tour
Opus Footwear, the California-based independent footwear brand founded and run by skateboarders for skateboarders, is proud to announce its sponsorship of comedian Taylor Clark’s upcoming “The While We’re Out Here Tour.”
Five stops are scheduled for Florida and Georgia from April 4th-13th with fellow comedians who skate, Twon Wood and Pancho Moler, onboard as special guests.

A lifelong skateboarder who lives in Everett, Wash., Taylor Clark is credited as being the first stand-up comic to break through in comedy via skateboarding. He’s been featured in Thrasher Magazine and Lowcard Magazine, among other noted media outlets. Taylor’s unique approach to comedy is considered groundbreaking by many because he was the first comic to perform jokes that accurately communicated the subculture and lifestyle of a skater to a mainstream audience in an authentic, relatable way. Taylor tours the country performing in clubs and comedy venues, but also in skateshops and at skate contests.
“I love to perform in skateshops not only to support the most crucial small business of any town, but also because I love introducing non-skaters to skate culture,” Taylor said. “People come to a skate shop for a comedy show and leave with a new and positive perspective on skateboarding.”
Along these lines, with support from Opus Footwear, Taylor’s upcoming skate-comedy tour will kick-off in Tampa, Fla., on Thursday, April 4th at The Bricks Ybor for an evening of laughter and good vibes to usher in the 30th Annual Tampa Pro—one of the most highly-anticipated skate contests each year. From there the tour will head to skateshops in Orlando, Gainesville, and Jacksonville, before wrapping up in Atlanta.
