Brixton Taps Brian White to Lead Wholesale Sales
Brixton is bringing on industry veteran Brian White to lead wholesale sales in the U.S. market.
White, who most recently served as senior vice president of global sales at Herschel Supply, is also well known for his five-year stint at Nixon. In addition, he operated his own sales agency where his clients included industry brands Ride, Hurley, Globe, and Dakine.
“We were fortunate to interview a range of leading sales experts, and in Brian, we clearly found a leader with great relationships who understands our industry, customers, and brand DNA,” said new Brixton CEO Seth Ellison, who joined the company in April. “He understands that growth happens automatically when partnering with the right customers to inspire consumers. I expect Brian to make an immediate impact partnering with our leadership team.”
Brian, a Canadian, had returned to Canada after he joined Vancouver-based Herschel Supply in 2020. He and his family moved back to the San Diego area about a year ago, and Brian was flying back and forth to Vancouver.
From his many years in the industry, he brings deep relationships with industry retailers. He said he was excited to join an entrepreneurial brand such as Brixton.
“I am honored to join a brand that has timeless design and is also deeply connected to the community I call home,” he said. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to help Brixton achieve its ambitious goals. I am an entrepreneur at heart and feel that entrepreneurial energy in the Brixton building.”
Brian added, “Brixton has long been a brand I have admired; its unique blend of surf, skate, music, and builder’s culture aligns with what I am passionate about. My weekends consist of chasing my kids around the skatepark, beach or dragging them to car shows and exposing them to new influences. Brixton is an industry leader in taking classic pieces and making them feel modern through these influences. I am eager to contribute to Brixton’s future growth and be part of its winning culture.”
Brixton, based in Oceanside, California, sells its goods in 1,300 wholesale accounts, seven owned retail stores, and on its website. It started as a hat company, and expanded successfully into men’s and women’s apparel. It is owned by Altamont Capital Partners.
