Position Reports to: Design Director 

Job responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Assistant Designer

• Assistant Designer is responsible for creating assortment overviews and ensuring that all the correct cross functional team members always have the most current version on hand.
• Assistant Designer is responsible for organizing assortments on all virtual platforms (Miro and Concept Board),
• Assistant Designer is responsible for organizing, sending and tracking all packages being sent to retail partners and or external parties.
• Order color swatches, maintain invoices related to swatch purchasing and constructing all swatch cards for distribution to design team and retail partners.
• Maintain distribution list for all retail partners. 
• Assist designers with market and trend research.
• Assistant Designer is responsible for understanding and meeting all calendar deadlines. 
• Assistant Designer is responsible for note taking at all meetings and recapping team members.
• Assistant Designer assists with the construction of all design presentations, internal and external. 
• Assistant Designer will be responsible for assisting with illustrator cads and must have the ability to illustrate design intent and expression of fit (i.e. silhouettes, trim and embellishment, textures, crochet patterns, etc.). 
• Assistant Designer will assist with the creation of detailed and organized tech packs for each design.
• Assistant Designer will attend fittings and assist by taking fit notes and updating designs with related changes that are made.
• Assistant Designer must communicate effectively and productively to cross functional team members. Clear and concise verbal and written communication is critical.
• Assistant Designer will work together with design team to keep all fabric and trim sourcing organized. 
• Assistant Designer works alongside team to build all trend and cad presentations. This includes image searching, mood board creating, etc. 
• Some collaboration with 3D artists and textile artists can be expected.

Requirements to be considered:

• Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop (any other Adobe product knowledge a plus).
• 2+ year in a similar role a plus.
• Private label swim experience a plus.
• Clo or Browzwear 3D experience a plus. 
• BA in Fashion Design or greater.
