Fox Global VP of Marketing Enich Harris, a key hire at Fox during Pete Fox’s reign as CEO, departed the company last week, SES has confirmed.

Enich, well liked and well connected in the industry, came from Billabong and was hired for his surf marketing expertise as Fox made a big push to expand beyond its core moto roots.

After investing significantly in upgrading its infrastructure and adding key talent, Fox has undergone several changes, most significantly the abrupt departure of CEO Pete Fox in February. Fox board member and ex-DC Americas leader Nick Adcock replaced him.

The Fox family still owns the company, and I am told Pete’s departure came after family disagreements about some of the changes at the company.

Pete Fox, who held key roles at Fox since he was in high school, is no longer working at the company on a daily basis though he retains a significant ownership position.

Fox, usually a staple at industry trade shows, did not show at Agenda this summer, and is not currently on exhibitor lists for the upcoming Magic and Surf Expo trade shows.
