Hari Mari Opens Flagship Store in Dallas
Hari Mari, the premium footwear brand known for infusing color & comfort into its distinctive footwear lines, announces the debut of its new retail concept with the opening of its flagship store in Dallas, Texas, located at 3213 Knox St., in the heart of the recently revived Knox District, the store will feature the brand’s luxury footwear and serve as the home of Hari Mari’s full footwear collection.
“We’ve dreamed of opening our own store since the day we started Hari Mari,” says Hari Mari Co-Founder, Jeremy Stewart. “It’s the physical manifestation of our brand. From store design and product mix, to the details like music playlists, types of drinks served, and even the scent of the candles burned in the store, it’s beyond exciting to fill-in those pieces of Hari Mari’s brand puzzle and share them with our customers.”
Each portion of the store highlights a different feature of the brand’s identity. The eastern wall pays homage to the definition of ‘Hari,’ Indonesian for “of the sun,” with the western wall reflecting ‘Mari’, Latin for “of the sea,” with nods to travel, exploration, and adventure throughout. Hari Mari hired Dallas Based creative Agency, Mowax Visual, to design the buildout of the store.
The store will not only serve as a shopping location, but also a gathering space for customers in a coveted area of Dallas. The bar will serve complimentary ranch waters, bloody mary’s, and a favorite local craft beer always on tap. The second story will serve as the brand’s event space for parties, yoga classes, and corporate gifting events.
“Hari Mari believes we can go on the offensive by going into retail as the country returns to normal after the pandemic,” says Jake Szczepanski, president of Hari Mari. “Coupled with the fact that the brand saw momentum during the pandemic, we are poised to expand not only at the retail level but to also expand into additional product categories and opportunities.”
Hari Mari celebrated the Grand Opening with family and friends on May 13th, sponsored by Malibu Poke, TJ’s Seafood, LALO Tequila, Murray Media, Five Islands Music, Dripping Springs Vodka, Foley Family Wines, Four Corners Brewing Company, Deep Ellum Brewing Co., and Davis Street Mercantile.

ABOUT HARI MARI
Hari Mari was founded in 2012 by Jeremy & Lila Stewart. The beginnings of the brand were born out of the Stewart’s time spent in Indonesia, where each worked on projects related to improving kids’ lives: Jeremy, making a documentary film on helping kids suffering from hunger & malnutrition in Southeast Asia; Lila, working with the American Women’s Association, volunteering for orphanages in and outside of Jakarta.
Moving back to the States and wanting to continue to help children in some capacity, the married couple recognized an unmet need for comfortable & colorful flip flops at a premium level. Paying homage to the origin of their commitment to helping kids and the trace root of the brand, “Hari” (Hahr- ee) meaning “sun” in the Indonesian Language & “Mari” (Mahr- ee) meaning “sea” in Latin, but Lila & Jeremy are more likely to tell you Hari Mari means making a great pair of flip flops supporting incredibly brave children.
Seeing a lot of companies helping children abroad, Hari Mari decided to focus its efforts in the U.S., and was stunned to discover pediatric cancer is the most fatal disease among American children, more fatal than all other childhood diseases combined. It clicked from there. Hari Mari’s commitment now sees 1% of sales going to support kids battling cancer. It’s called Flops Fighting Cancer.
Hari Mari’s footwear is available on HariMari.com, as well as many quality retailers, such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and J. Crew.
