When did Beach Bums start private label?

We first started private label in 2001 with some logo driven T-shirts promoting the two shops we had at the time.

What is the line called?

The line is called Beach Bums with the logo being the two BB’s back to back.

How many pieces? What categories? Both guys and girls?

We do both guys and girls. Our strongest categories are T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories.

Why did Beach Bums start the private label program?

We started the private label program to promote our shops. Also to fill voids and get back into certain categories that were doing well.

Will Beach Bums increase its penetration of private label going forward?

Yes, in certain key categories and not to exceed a certain percent of the total business. The majority of our business will be branded merchandise.
