Nike execs on Hurley revenue, new stores

Nike Inc. reported earnings results yesterday afternoon and some details about its action sports brands and others that it owns. Executives also discussed the performance of the Hurley/Converse/Nike 6.0 store in Laguna Beach. In the category it describes as “other business,” revenues rose 1% driven by Converse. Hurley and Cole Haan revenues were flat, while Nike Golf and Umbro revenue declined. Earnings before interest and taxes rose 65% for the “other” businesses large due to lower SG&A costs, according to a transcript of the conference call.
