CALIFORNIA FASHION ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES ORANGE COUNTY PROGRAM FOR APPAREL INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS

First ‘Orange County Professionals Club’ (OCPC) Reception on Dec. 1st to discuss intellectual property issues in the apparel industry

LOS ANGELES, CA – November 2010 – The inaugural Orange County Professionals Club (OCPC) event for apparel and textile service industry professionals will be held on December 1st at Kimera restaurant in Irvine, CA.

The networking reception is free to industry executives and will include a guided discussion on intellectual property issues, “Protecting Your Brand: Inspiration vs. Innovation.”

Organized by the California Fashion Association, OCPC is a professional networking opportunity for those involved with the apparel, accessories, actions sports, and consumer products industries.

Manufacturers, brand holders and service providers will be able to interact and discuss specific industry issues in a social setting.

“The Orange County region is a strong contributor to California’s apparel and textile industry with over $5.6 billion dollars in sales and close to 20,000 direct employees; the issues that affect the industry have no geographical barriers,” said Ilse Metchek, President, California Fashion Association.

The event is sponsored by Wells Fargo Capital Finance and Moss Adams LLP. Law firms Call Jensen and Silver & Freedman will provide their intellectual property expertise, in addition to sponsorship.

“Intellectual property is a hot button issue for our apparel clients,” said Kevin Sullivan, Executive Vice President, Wells Fargo Capital Finance.

“The creation of OCPC provides a forum for attendees to discuss how these and other issues impact their business.
