Exporting L.A. Style – A Special Event at the GRAMMY Museum at LA LIVE

The Port of Los Angeles and UPS partner with California Fashion Association;

Seminar: “Opportunities for U.S. Brand Entry into Global Markets”

 

(Los Angeles, Ca. March 24, 2011) — The California Fashion Association has organized a special breakfast seminar specifically targeting the export issues for the apparel, textile and footwear industries.

 

Scheduled for April 12 and sponsored by the Port of Los Angeles and the UPS Corporation, the presentation and panel will focus on overcoming the barriers for US fashion exports, such as market access, finance, labeling and other complex regulations.

 

Q&A will follow the panel discussion, with a significant take-away package of information. Invitations have gone to apparel, textile and footwear manufacturers and the business media. There is no charge for entrance; however an approved RSVP is required.

 

In addition to the sponsorship of UPS and the Port of L.A., the law firm of Grunfield Desiderio Lebowitz Silverman and Klestadt is the breakfast host, with featured speakers Vincent Iacopella of the Janel Group, Norman Arikawa of the Port of L.A., Julie Anne Hennessey of the Department of Commerce, Richard Wortman of Grunfeld, Desiderio, Lebowitz, Silverman & Klestadt LLP, and Jerome Roberts of UPS.

 

Noel Massie, President of UPS Central California District will welcome the guests and introduce the presentations.

 

This is a rare opportunity to view the exhibitions at the GRAMMY Museum at LA LIVE, along with a higher level of understanding and assistance about foreign markets.
