DARAN GODFREY NAMED GLOBAL DIRECTOR OF SALES FOR IVI

 

(Irvine, CA) December 6th, 2011– IVI is proud to bring on board industry veteran Daran Godfrey to the IVI team as Global Director of Sales. In his new role, Daran will oversee the sales direction for the brand, guiding the sales force creation and distribution structure around the globe.

 

Godfrey spent the last 6 years at Luxottica and Oakley. Initially, as Lux Sport Division Sales Director, he led Luxottica in the creation of the Lux Sport Division which included Arnette, Ray-Ban and Revo. Eventually, after the merger of Luxottica and Oakley, he led sales in the creation of the Icon Sports Division and transitioning and integrating these brands into Oakley’s Foothill Ranch facility as Icon Sports Division Sales Director.

 

His most recent role as National Accounts Sales Manager – Sport Optics was focused within the Action Sports/Lifestyle channel, directly managing and growing Oakley, Ray-Ban and Arnette business in such accounts as Zumiez, The Buckle, PacSun, Tilly’s and Finish Line, just to name a few.

 

When asked about his new role at IVI, Godfrey stated, “Although I have fond memories of the people and my accomplishments during my time spent at Oakley and Luxottica, I’m extremely thrilled to enter a new chapter in my life and be part of an iconic, elevated street fashion brand such as IVI. I have a deep respect for Rob Dyrdek, Pete Fox and Jerome Mage and their entrepreneurial and creative accomplishments. I look forward to lending my 18+ years experience in action sports / lifestyle to building a solid sales and distribution program. Our team has started strong and will only continue to build from here.”

 

Prior to his work at Oakley, Godfrey was the National Sales Manager for PF Flyers (a division of New Balance) where he built a strong sales team and solid action sports/lifestyle retailer network. Over the years, he has also held key Sales and Sales / Marketing Management positions at Airwalk, Salomon and Spyder.
