October 6, 2014 – Paris, FR  –  Pro surfer Tia Blanco recently partnered with Paris based jewelry designer Marie Lapaire from Satine Creation to create an entirely vegan capsule collection. The capsule encompasses Tia’s love for the surfing and the ocean, her passion for animals, eye for fashion and vegan lifestyle. 

TWO WORLDS MEET!

Inspired by the culture of surfing, the Satine x Tia Blanco capsule collection will consist of cuffs, bracelets and necklaces reminiscent of long summer days spent at the beach with friends catching waves, soaking in the sun and wishing it would never end.

This collaboration is also an opportunity to support PETA2, which aims to educate youth about animal rights and healthy living. Partial proceeds from sales will go directly to the organization where Tia Blanco is an ambassador.

THE PROJECT

After a beautiful meeting and a creative crush, Marie Lapaire and Tia Blanco decided to join forces to create a capsule collection of some original pieces.

To stay consistent with Tia’s vegan spirit, Satine agreed to forsake its exotic and classic leathers in favor of a vegan leather.

In order to also give back, Satine and Tia decided to take part in the protection of animals and donate partial proceeds to PETA2, an organization whose aim is to educate the next generation on animal rights.

Together, Tia and Marie put all their love and creativity into a collection that they hope everyone will love but will also raise funds for a great cause.

THE SURFER GIRL’S BIOGRAPHY

A native of Puerto Rico, Tiarah Blanco, is a young professional surfer living in California. She participates in numerous surfing competitions including America Prime and the US Open of Surfing (competitions to international fame).

Adored by many for her athletic talent and her personal values, Tia lives an enviable lifestyle of surf, travel, vegan living, art and the search for adventure. Her passion for travel to exotic surfing destinations allows Tia to discover new cultures and gather inspiration for her own personal style. Young yet worldly, Tia loves to follow fashion, art and music.

THE CREATOR’S BIOGRAPHY

Lapaire Marie is a young Parisian designer who launched the brand Satine there four years. His career in art and design led her into the world of fashion and accessories.

A creative and inspired demanding, she draws its ideas in what she discovers in his travels or just in his day ! She especially likes to impose herself technical challenges: “Curiously, artistic constraints are the best way to innovate and above all to never get bored!”.

Satine is a brand distinctly modern, graphics and original jewelry. The designer loves to mix materials and discover their new reliefs.

WILD SHOOTING

To stay consistent with the values promoted in this collection, Marie decided to make the shoot 100% natural. No make up was worn, only natural lighting was used and no photo retouching was done.

She photographed Tia on some of the most photogenic beaches in Southern California – the iconic Venice Beach and the picturesque Salt Creek State Beach. The outcome is nothing short of gorgeous… natural beauty embodied.
