JANUARY 5, 2015, VENICE BEACH, CA — Since strategically relocating Global Headquarters to Venice Beach, California last year, Australian counterculture lifestyle brand INSIGHT assembled an all-new industry mod-squad of young, innovative and eclectic creatives. With deep roots in surf, skate, fashion and visual arts, Insight’s new crew has forged ahead continuing the brand’s legacy as think tank for uninhibited ideas.

“At its core, Insight has always been a group of friends & artists that surf, skate and are passionate about influencing fashion markets. The new team is simply the California version,” Says Alek Parker, Insight’s new Marketing Director.  Prior to Insight, Alek surfed professionally for more than 15 years and nurtured a budding career as a photographer, director and producer of surf films. Danica Elbertse (formerly of Insight) steers Women’s Designs and is lead by industry veteran Rob Abeyta (Stussy, Nike, Fourstar), who took the helm of Directing Insight’s Creative team. Mirko Antich, Art Director, hails from Globe where he helped with their recent rebranding to adapt the north American market. The team also includes Venice local, Teague Muir – son of Dogtown and Ryan Mickelsen.  Professional surfer Jared Mell’s roots run deep; he continues to surf for the brand, traveling and lending perspective as a featured Garage Artist.




Insight’s FW15 collection is the first designed by the LA-based squad. The line is being debuted at Agenda Long Beach, January 5-6 / Agenda NYC, January 19-20 / Agenda Las Vegas February 16-18 / AXIS NYC February 22-24.

Insight’s humble roots as a surfboard company starting on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia 27 years ago, has evolved to an international brand and a cultural movement, now selling goods in over 40 countries around the globe.  European offices are located in Biarritz, France and the new; Global Headquarters sits rightfully in Venice Beach, California.  Today the brand maintains a global platform poised to reach deeper and expand its creatively driven, fashion-forward product to loyalists around the world.
