Stance has wooed Vicki Redding out of retirement to lead the San Clemente, California-based company’s product division as it furthers aspirations of building out a global business.

“I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Vicki Redding as our vice president of product,” President David Tichiaz said in a statement sent to SES. “With a stellar career marked by unparalleled success in problem-solving, team building and fostering ingenuity, Vicki brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to helping Stance realize its full potential in the global market.”

Redding brings long-time industry experience to her position as vice president of product after having previously worked at Vans between 2012 and 2021 as vice president of global product, apparel and accessories before retiring. She also held similar product positions at the La Jolla Group, One Industries, DC Shoes and Quiksilver.

“Coming out of retirement to join Stance was an easy decision to make,” Redding said in a statement to SES. “My passion for product aligns perfectly with their pursuit of creativity, innovation and superior quality. I am honored to be part of this amazing team and look forward to what the future holds.”

Redding’s hire comes after Tichiaz joined the company in May as president, filling a position that had been open since 2019 when John Wilson took the helm as CEO.

At the time of Tichiaz’s hiring, Wilson pointed to what Vans has done historically with its product line expansions to create a “true global brand” as an inspiration for Stance’s future with its new president.
